- Hi! We have a new dining room table that is Light oak tone with a wire-brushed, whitewashed finish and matte seal; currently shows significant wear and patina from use even though it is less than a year old. I am wondering what I can do to make it more resilient and suitable for daily use. I would be happy to have it resealed or fully refinished if it means we will be able to use it without destroying it.
